Join Healthy Working Wales for a practical workshop to help you feel confident, prepared and ready to thrive at work.
This workshop is for young people in Wales who are about to start their first job or have recently begun working.
Starting work is an exciting step, bringing new opportunities to learn, develop skills and build your future. However, it can also feel like a big change. Education is often structured and familiar, while the workplace can feel very different at first.
Around 60% of young people say they feel unprepared for employment. If you’re feeling unsure, nervous or overwhelmed, you’re not alone.
During this workshop, you will:
- Feel more prepared for employment
- Learn how to thrive at work
- Understand how to look after your health and wellbeing
- Connect and gain peer support from others
- Know where to go for help, advice and support
The workshop content has been developed with young people and employers to reflect the real experiences and challenges faced by those entering the workplace today. It draws on research, workshops and surveys to ensure the information is practical, relevant and grounded in lived experience.
This workshop is for you if you:
- Are aged 16-24
- Live in Wales
