About us

Healthy Working Wales (HWW) is a free national programme that aims to improve health and prevent ill-health at work by supporting employers in Wales. HWW is funded by Welsh Government and delivered by Public Health Wales.  

HWW supports employers to: 

  • Create healthy and safe working environments and practices
  • Take action to improve the health and wellbeing of their staff and promote healthy behaviours
  • Prevent and manage sickness absence and supportive return to work effectively to prevent people from falling out of work due to ill-health
  • Support those with chronic conditions to stay in work

Healthy Working Wales is a national programme led by Public Health Wales.

We support employers across Wales to create healthier, happier, more productive workplaces, by focusing on three key areas:

Healthy work environments; promoting communication, development, equality and sustainability.

Healthy lifestyles; including mental wellbeing, physical activity and nutrition.

Supporting employees with health needs; including managing chronic conditions and returning to work after sickness.

We make it simple for employers to take action with our Acess, Complete and Engage approach to free support:
