How Social Care Wales supports menopause at work

A close up of a team with their hands stacked together over a desk at work.

Social Care Wales has created a supportive and open approach to menopause at work. With most of their staff being women, many of whom are over 40, the organisation recognised the importance of providing clear information, practical help and safe spaces to talk.

Through a dedicated menopause policy, staff resources and a peer support group, they are helping colleagues feel more confident, connected and understood during this stage of life.

Take a look at the HWW webpages for further ideas on menopause support at work.

Winter vaccinations: Help protect your workforce and community

Protection against flu comes from getting your vaccine

Public Health Wales is running a campaign to highlight the importance of getting the flu vaccine to protect yourself, your employees and your wider community from serious illness this winter.

As an employer in Wales, you play an important role in keeping your workforce healthy and helping to reduce the spread of flu. By sharing key messages and encouraging eligible staff to get vaccinated, you can help protect your team, reduce sickness absence and support public health across Wales.

Together, we can help keep Wales well this winter.

For additional information about how employers can promote and support access to these services to benefit employee health, visit the HWW screening and vaccinations page.
