Promoting health and wellbeing in the workplace 

As an employer, you have a key role in encouraging employees to look after their mental and physical health. The CIPD (opens in a new window) recommends implementing a health and wellbeing strategy to show your commitment to supporting employee health.  

Your strategy could include: 

  • Supporting national campaigns and awareness days. You can use these opportunities to share information about specific health topics and show support from senior leadership
  • Encouraging open and honest discussions about mental and physical health
  • Offering flexible working arrangements
