Workshops coming up in February and March!

RCS commissioned by HWW to explore young people’s wellbeing at work

Healthy Working Wales has commissioned RCS to explore the health and wellbeing of young people aged 16–24 in the workplace, with a focus on mental health.

With work-related stress increasingly affecting young employees, this project will gather insights from young workers and employers across Wales to understand key challenges and identify what support works best.

The findings will help develop practical guidance and resources to improve workplace wellbeing and support young people to build sustainable careers.

Who can take part?

  • Young people and apprentices willing to share their experiences
  • Employers and managers seeking to better understand young people’s needs
  • HR professionals, wellbeing leads, mentors or anyone with relevant insight

We would be grateful if you could share this opportunity with young employees, apprentices, colleagues, or others with an interest in young people’s wellbeing at work.

Inspiring a more active workforce at Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board (CTMUHB)

Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board (CTMUHB) has transformed the way employees engage with physical activity through its annual activity challenge.

The challenge has strengthened teamwork and improved workplace culture. The Dietetics team now includes physical activity in family sessions, showing how staff wellbeing can benefit patients too.

The Big Team Challenge shared:

“We’ve been happy to support CTMUHB’s step challenges since 2023, with over 2,000 people taking part. Together, they have walked the equivalent of more than 17 trips around the world. As a UK company, it’s great to see local organisations using our platform to improve wellbeing and another health board in Wales has now started running challenges too.”

One member of staff commented:

“Overall, I found the challenge hugely positive in terms of increasing my own activity levels and prioritising time to get moving.”
