MECC Level 2 Alcohol Brief Intervention training for public-facing roles – Now live
Public Health Wales has launched a new Level 2 Making Every Contact Count (MECC) – Alcohol Brief Intervention (ABI) online training module.
This evidence-based course builds confidence in delivering brief, structured conversations to support people to reduce alcohol consumption.
You will learn to:
- Recognise your role in preventing alcohol-related harm
- Start behaviour change conversations
- Use the AUDIT-C screening tool effectively
- Signpost to appropriate support services
Who it’s for
Staff in public-facing roles across health, local government, voluntary sector, education, and criminal justice settings.
