What’s new – HWW topic updates to improve workplace health and wellbeing

Following our highly successful ADHD webinar in November 2025, we have launched a new ADHD in the workplace topic page. Visit the page to explore practical guidance on supporting employees with ADHD and building a more inclusive workplace.
We have also developed a supporting employees with sight loss topic page to help employees with sight loss feel confident, valued and able to thrive at work.
For further inspiration, read our Sight Cymru success story and discover how employers are raising awareness and creating inclusive workplaces.
Get involved – exploring young people’s wellbeing at work

Healthy Working Wales has commissioned RCS to explore the health and wellbeing of young people aged 16–24 in the workplace, with a particular focus on mental health.
With work-related stress increasingly affecting young employees, this project will gather insights from young workers and employers across Wales to better understand key challenges and identify what support works best.
The findings will help us develop practical guidance and resources to improve workplace wellbeing and support young people to build sustainable careers.
Who can take part?
- Young people and apprentices willing to share their experiences
- Employers and managers seeking to better understand young people’s needs
- HR professionals, wellbeing leads, mentors or anyone with relevant insight
- We would be grateful if you could share this opportunity with young employees, apprentices and colleagues.
Workshop dates
- Tues 24 March, Bangor University, 1pm – 2pm
- Weds 25 March, Online (evening session), 6.30pm – 7.30pm

How Development Bank of Wales built a healthier workplace by supporting neurodiversity at work

The neurodiversity training programme has had a significant and positive impact across the Development Bank of Wales (DBW).
One of the most powerful outcomes has been the way it has opened up conversations about neurodiversity. For example, one colleague recognised their own neurodivergent traits and is now seeking a diagnosis, while receiving appropriate workplace support.
Managers report feeling more confident and proactive in offering support, helping colleagues to perform at their best. The introduction of trained Neurodiversity Ambassadors has strengthened internal support networks and clearly demonstrates DBW’s commitment to inclusion.
Importantly, DBW recognised that workplace adjustments can and should, be made even without a formal diagnosis. Simple changes can make a big difference, such as sharing agendas in advance or providing written summaries after meetings.
